The Macarons: Lamps Inspired by the Memphis Movement

These lamps look like they’re ready to party – am I right?! First, their name rocks – The Macarons; and second, they’re decked out with wild, geometric lampshades that definitely reference the Memphis Movement. Designed by Davide G. Aquini and produced by IN by Progetti in Luce, each lamp is built with a macaron-shaped base that’s made from American tulipwood and a patterned lampshade.

These lamps are a limited edition, for display at this year’s fuorisalone Ventura Lambrate, marking a pastel pink and acid yellow return to postmodern design. The regular collection is available for purchase here.
